Local idiot.
This is a little awkward considering this news item is about me. However, I’ve dedicated my life to providing you with the truth and feel it’s my duty to report things as they are and not how I want them to be.
During the second quarter of a game two blow-out by the Boston Celtics over the Milwaukee Bucks, Kendrick Perkins tweeted the following:
It’s unclear what prompted the 2008 World Champion to address McDonough directly, but it is clear that the night took on a different feel from that point on. At the end of the game, in a since deleted video, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith had this to say:
“I don’t want to take anything away from the Boston Celtics. I don’t want to take anything away from Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown. They beat the Bucks, and WITHOUT Marcus Smart mind you. But we need to talk about this idiot. This buffoon! This… let me tell you something. Mark McDonough man needs to be in prison. You’re telling me you’ve got this IMBECILE walking around and you’re not going to do anything about it? This is a disgrace.”
I don’t even know what I did to make everyone mad. I don’t even know how they know who I am.
Celtics Hall of Famer Larry Bird took a break from building a moat around his estate to call into the radio station WEEI 93.7. The normally reserved Bird let loose:
“I’m going to beat him up. McDonough is a dead man.”
Even the fans jumped in. Celtic Green Ralph tweeted this:
@greenenvypod (formerly @KeenanAndSnell), a Celtics podcast with over three monthly listeners, have remained silent on the issue. McDonough, who has been a guest on the show multiple times, seems to be getting no support in his time of need.
I don’t know what’s going on. Can someone explain what’s going on?
